Should you move your money out of the "too big to fail" banks and into local banks and credit unions? Campaigners will be on the street in downtown Portland today, Saturday, to tell you why they think that's a good idea.
The "Move Your Money Portland" campaign will rally Saturday, May 22nd from 1pm-4pm, at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
Organized by the nonprofits, The Real Wealth of Portland and the Sustainable Business Network of Portland, the rally will include information from local banks and credit unions about how they help the local economy and how to move your money. Brazilian-style Samba band, The Lions of Batucada will perform.
