This year, Oregon’s biggest event weekend is dedicated to helping end cancer. During the Spirit Mountain Grand Floral Parade U.S. Bank volunteers in blue shirts will walk along the 4.2 mile route collecting donations for the billion dollar Knight Cancer Challenge. Two dollars from every Bank of the West Grand Floral Walk registration will also go toward this fundraising campaign.

The third weekend of the Portland Rose Festival is packed full of events. On Saturday there are Dragon Boats, Navy ships, CityFair and RoZone Concerts, as well as the Rose Festival’s signature Grand Floral Parade. As the Dragons take to the water, 15 princesses step out at Veterans Memorial Coliseum to see who will be the 100th elected Queen in the 107 years of festival history. Following the crowing, the Bank of the West Grand Floral Walk steps through with $2 of every entry fee going to the Knight Cancer Challenge.
