Cece Winans Makes First Portland Appearance for Juneteenth

Legendary 11 time Grammy winning CeCe Winans is making her first appearance in Portland for the Freedom Day Celebration on Thursday June 16th at 7pm.
CeCe will be performing her latest album at New Beginnings Church, 3300 NE 172nd Place, Portland, Oregon. Other performances by Saeeda Wright, Alonzo Chadwick, Derrick McDuffie, Chosen Generation, the 9 year old poet Da Future who recently performed for Governor John Kitzhaber and host Dj is OG-ONE.
CeCe Winans is best known for her inspirational hits Alabaster Box, I Pray, Mercy Said No, It Wasn't Easy, I Surrender All, Waging War and many more. Her latest album "For Always" is a compilation of her most popular songs. CeCe's collection of Top Ten R&B radio hits include "Count on Me," her duet with Whitney Houston, from the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. CeCe is dedicated to using her music ministry to bring others closer to the Lord.
The Freedom Day Celebration is a multi-cultural celebration in honor of Juneteenth. Founder and CEO of True Shine Orion Isaac Weissmann maintains that "our freedom is only attained when the collective freedom of all members of our community is universally recognized." Juneteenth is celebrated nationwide every year from June 16-19th. This year marks the first full feature concert featuring a national act in honor of Juneteenth in Portland and will not be the last.
